Health, Safety and Environmental Alert - During a recent audit at a client site, an external auditor noticed grease guns lying in a holding tray.
The auditor highlighted the potential safety issue with the use of grease guns from the injection of grease under pressure into the flesh of operatives’ hands. When using grease guns with flexible hoses, operatives tend to hold the grease gun connectors on the grease nipple with their bare hand.
