Salus Safety Solutions Ltd were employed by RES to act as the Health and Safety Advisor for their Denbrook, Turncole and Garreg Lwyd Hill Wind Farm Windfarms.
RES has been at the forefront of the renewable energy sector since the early 1980s. Since then, they have grown to become one of the largest independent renewable energy developers and consultants in the UK and Ireland. The Client had three windfarms which they were building out at the same time.
Garreg Lwyd Hill Wind Farm is a seventeen turbine site which is situated between Felindre and Llanbadarn Fynydd in Radnorshire, Powys.
Den Brook Wind Farm in West Devon was granted planning consent by the High Court in December 2009. The project comprises nine turbines, measuring 120m high to the tip of the blade, as well as on-site tracks and crane hardstandings, a control building and a grid connection.
Turncole Wind Farm is a seven turbine scheme by RES, located to the south east of Southminster and north east of Burnham on Crouch in the Maldon District of Essex.
