Risk of Infection - The need to obtain first aid/ or professional medical assistance.
An operative cut their finger on a drill bit which was not treated by a first aider at the time of injury nor was it looked after by the individual, this resulted with a significant infection of their finger and hand, the outcome of which when provided with medical intervention was the operative losing part of the injured finger.
